Announcing New Science, Design & Engineering Programs Starting July 26!

We are excited to introduce two new interactive and creativity-focused Science, Design, & Engineering (SDE) programs designed to spark innovation and curiosity in young learners! Science Wonderlab (Grades K–2):

Perfect for aspiring scientists, this program explores the wonders of STEM through engaging, hands-on projects.

  • Lesson 1: Air-Powered Rockets

    • Focus: Forces & Motion (Pushes and Pulls)

    • Activity: Design and launch paper rockets using air pressure.

    • Learning Outcomes: Understand air propulsion and the impact of rocket design on flight.

  • Lesson 2: Wind Target Challenge

    • Focus: Air as a Force

    • Activity: Create a wind-powered glider or racer to hit a target.

    • Learning Outcomes: Learn how moving air (wind) can induce motion.

  • Lesson 3: Coke & Mentos Explosion

    • Focus: Reactions & Scientific Thinking

    • Activity: Observe the effects of dropping Mentos in Coke versus water.

    • Learning Outcomes: Grasp the concept of chemical reactions and develop scientific prediction skills.

  • Lesson 4: Build Like an Engineer

    • Focus: Engineering Design Process

    • Activity: Construct the tallest tower using spaghetti, tape, and a marshmallow.

    • Learning Outcomes: Discover how engineers solve problems through planning, building, testing, and refining.

neXt Gen Science Lab (Grades 3–6):

This program encourages real-world problem-solving through design thinking, invention, and hands-on science experiments.

  • Lesson 1: Elephant Toothpaste

    • Focus: Chemical Reactions

    • Activity: Create a dramatic foamy reaction using yeast, hydrogen peroxide, and soap.

    • Learning Outcomes: Explore the nature of chemical reactions and how altering ingredients changes results.

  • Lesson 2: Snap Circuits & Electricity

    • Focus: Physical Science – Circuits

    • Activity: Use Snap Circuit kits to design light-up inventions and explore electrical flow.

    • Learning Outcomes: Understand circuit workings, necessary components, and engineering troubleshooting skills.

  • Lesson 3: Reaction Dynamics & Experimental Design

    • Focus: Chemical Reactions, Gas Expansion, and Scientific Variables

    • Learning Outcomes: Learn to design fair tests, identify variables, and analyze cause-and-effect in reactions, enhancing experimental science and critical thinking skills.

  • Lesson 4: Design Challenge – Spaghetti Tower

    • Focus: Engineering Design Process

    • Activity: Use limited materials to build a tall, sturdy marshmallow-topped tower.

    • Learning Outcomes: Master the engineering process of planning, testing, and improving designs, and appreciate the importance of teamwork in problem-solving.

Both programs kick off on Saturday, July 26th! Spaces are limited, so register your child today to inspire their love for science and design!
