The Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Visual Arts Conservatory invites creative students in grades 7–12 to demonstrate their artistic talents through a Digital Submission Placement Activity. This process is a key component of the application and includes specific guidelines to ensure fairness and creativity. Applicants must create and submit artworks in response to four carefully crafted prompts, designed to showcase their skills, originality, and dedication.
Submission Requirements
Artworks: Submit four (4) artworks, each based on a designated prompt.
File Formats: Only PDF, PNG, or JPEG files are accepted for artworks.
Video Submission: One YouTube video link is required for Prompt 4. The video must be set to "Unlisted" for privacy and the link pasted into the application.
Originality: All submissions must be 100% original and created solely by the applicant. Works that involve plagiarism or AI assistance will disqualify the applicant.
Time Guidelines for Art Creation
Grades 9–12: Each artwork should reflect 3–4 hours of effort.
Grades 7–8: Each artwork should reflect 2 hours of effort.
Only the artworks responding to the specific prompts will be reviewed. Additional or unrelated pieces will not be considered, and failing to address the prompts may result in a lower rubric score.
