STARTING NEXT WEEK! Get ready to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Pokémon through the captivating medium of clay art! In this exciting workshop, students will embark on a creative journey where they will learn about the intricate design process behind some of the most beloved Pokémon characters.

They will delve into the fascinating aspects of character evolution, exploring how each Pokémon transforms through its various stages. With the guidance of skilled instructors, participants will sculpt their own unique Pokémon figures, bringing their imaginative visions to life in every evolution stage using high-quality clay. Once the sculpting is complete, each student will have the opportunity to create a special card that complements their handcrafted Pokémon, allowing them to showcase their creativity and the story behind their character.

 Pokémon-Inspired Crafts!

•  Craft a clay Pokéball that holds a delightful surprise Pokémon character inside, adding an element of excitement and discovery to your creation. This project will not only enhance your sculpting skills but also teach you how to design functional art pieces.

•  Design and embellish a Pokémon-themed tote bag that reflects your personal style and favorite Pokémon. This activity will encourage students to explore fabric design techniques, allowing them to express their love for Pokémon while learning about textile arts.

•  Make your own Pokémon character keychain to take home, a perfect way to carry a piece of your creativity with you wherever you go. This project will involve crafting with shrink plastic and assembling keychains, providing a hands-on experience in making wearable art.

Key Skills Learned:

• Character design and evolution concept development, where students will learn to conceptualize their Pokémon's backstory and characteristics, enhancing their storytelling abilities through art.

• Basics of clay sculpting and 3D modeling, focusing on techniques that will help students understand form, texture, and proportion, essential skills for any aspiring artist.

• Crafting with shrink plastic and keychain assembly, which will introduce students to the process of creating durable and fun accessories, expanding their crafting repertoire.
