Week 1: Surreal Sandwiches, Stamps, and Magnified Bugs

The first week of camp kicked off with an icebreaker project, introducing students to the class flow through the creation of surrealist sandwiches. Students were encouraged to explore their creativity, incorporating elements like numbers, bugs, and candy alongside traditional ingredients. They honed their blending skills with colored pencils and experimented with making stamps from foam and cardboard to design their own tree hollow houses. The week concluded with an artwork featuring a magnifying glass, where students drew bugs they wanted to highlight.

Week 2: Portraits, Jellyfish, and Reusable Prints
In the second week, students created decorative framed portraits, with an option to design personalized stencils with instructor assistance. They then crafted jellyfish using paper chains and textured yarns, which they could display as they wished. The week culminated in the creation of reusable foam printing plates, allowing students to continue their artistic endeavors at home.
