What an incredible start to our Young Potters Studio: Wheel & Handbuilt Art summer camp! In our first week, students jumped right into the world of ceramics, exploring both handbuilding and wheel-throwing techniques. From pool trinket dishes to sculpted mugs and textured 3D tiles , our young artists brought their imaginations to life in clay. We’re so proud of their progress and can’t wait to share a glimpse of what they created!

A fun-filled week of clay, creativity, and craftsmanship!
Pool Trinket Dish – A fun and summery start, students sculpted unique dish shapes and added playful details.
Large Animal Mug – They crafted oversized mugs featuring imaginative animal designs, combining function with creativity.
Sgraffito Cup & Saucer Set – Using the sgraffito technique, they glazed and then carefully carved intricate patterns into their cup and saucer sets.
Nautical 3D Tile – Inspired by the sea, these tiles were sculpted in relief to capture waves, ships, and other ocean elements.
Wheel-Thrown Pots – Campers got their first taste of the pottery wheel, learning how to center and shape clay into small, functional pots.
